Introduction

Malnutrition is one of the most serious and widespread issues affecting millions of people worldwide. It silently creeps into families, weakening individuals, reducing their ability to learn, work, and live a healthy life. The impact of malnutrition goes beyond an empty stomach; it affects the overall growth of children, productivity in adults, and economic progress in nations. A malnourished child struggles to focus in school, a weak adult cannot perform well at work, and an undernourished mother may give birth to an unhealthy baby, creating a cycle of poor health and poverty. Despite modern advancements in agriculture and food production, a large portion of the global population still suffers from malnutrition, making it a crisis that needs urgent attention. Understanding malnutrition is the first step toward eliminating it. Many people believe that malnutrition simply means a lack of food, but in reality, it also includes improper nutrition, unbalanced diets, and consuming food that lacks essential nutrients. A child may eat enough but still be malnourished if their diet lacks the necessary vitamins and minerals required for proper growth. This course aims to educate school students about malnutrition, its causes, effects, and the steps needed to eradicate it. By creating awareness, we can empower young minds to take action against this issue and help build a world where no one suffers from malnutrition.
