Affordable and Clean Energy
Master modern web technologies and frameworks
Program Overview
The sun rises high, so bold and bright,
A source of hope, a guiding light.
Winds that dance upon the sea,
Whisper of power, strong and free.
No smoke, no flames, no bitter cost,
No forests burned, no rivers lost.
From Earth’s deep core and ocean’s tide,
Clean energy flows, far and wide.
A world where lights shine pure and clear,
Where homes stay warm, year after year.
No child left cold, no town in gloom,
A future bright where all may bloom.
Let solar gleam and windmills spin,
A race for change we all must win.
For power must be fair and clean,
To fuel the world and keep it green.
So rise with voices, strong and true,
A call for change, for me, for you.
Together let’s ignite the way,
For brighter nights and brighter days.
Access to clean and affordable energy is essential for sustainable development, driving economic growth,
social progress, and environmental preservation worldwide. The United Nations Sustainable Development
Goal (UNSDG) 7: Affordable and Clean Energy aims to ensure universal access to reliable, sustainable,
and modern energy sources by 2030. This goal addresses critical challenges such as energy poverty,
reliance on fossil fuels, inefficient energy use, and the environmental impact of conventional energy
production.
Barriers such as high costs, inadequate infrastructure, and technological limitations hinder progress
toward achieving universal access to clean energy. In many rural and underserved communities, a lack of
reliable electricity restricts economic opportunities, limits access to education and healthcare, and
exacerbates social inequalities. Key targets of UNSDG 7 include increasing the share of renewable
energy, improving energy efficiency, expanding infrastructure for modern energy services, and promoting
research and investment in clean energy technologies.
However, achieving clean and affordable energy for all requires overcoming challenges such as policy
gaps, insufficient funding, dependence on nonrenewable energy sources, and slow transitions to
renewable alternatives. To advance this goal, individuals, governments, and organizations must advocate
for sustainable energy policies, invest in renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower,
and support innovations that make clean energy accessible and affordable.
Ensuring clean and affordable energy goes beyond technological advancements—it requires a collective
commitment from societies, businesses, and policymakers to transition toward a sustainable energy future.
Achieving this goal will lead to economic empowerment, reduced environmental degradation, and a more
resilient and energy-secure world for all.
